Getting started
Handbook interview
The interview is how your agents learn to sound like you. It takes about 15 minutes and covers nine topics: your business, your customers, your voice, writing samples, policies, escalation rules, and timezone. Every agent reads the resulting handbook before they run.
Before you start: what to prepare
Gather these before opening the interview. You can answer from memory but having real examples gives much better results.
- -3 to 5 examples of your own writing - emails you sent, captions you posted, or copy you wrote. Copy and paste the actual text.
- -Your return and refund policy, word for word.
- -A list of topics you always handle personally: chargebacks, press inquiries, safety issues, anything else.
- -Your refund threshold (the amount above which you want to approve a refund yourself before it is issued).
- -Your business timezone.
Running the interview
- 1
Open the portal
Go to app.flostackos.com and log in. If this is your first time, you will be redirected to Onboarding automatically. Otherwise, find the Onboarding link in the dashboard.
- 2
Answer the questions
A Claude-powered conversation asks you about each topic in order. Answer naturally. If a question doesn't apply (for example, you don't have a physical location), say so. The interview adapts.
- 3
Provide writing samples when asked
The voice section asks for examples of your writing. Paste real examples rather than describing your style. Three to five short excerpts work better than one long one.
- 4
Review the generated handbook
When all nine topics are covered, the interview produces a structured handbook. Read each section. If any section misrepresents your business, edit the JSON directly in the review screen.
- 5
Save
Tap Save. The handbook is written to your account immediately. Your agents read it on their next scheduled run. No reinstall required.
If you need to stop and come back
The interview saves your progress in your browser as you go. Close the tab and reopen it later. The conversation picks up where you left off. Your agents do not use a partial handbook, so there is no impact until you save.
Updating the handbook later
You can run the interview again at any time to update any section. You can also edit the handbook JSON directly from the portal at any time. Changes take effect on the next agent run.
If your policies change (return window, escalation threshold, a new banned topic), update the handbook before the next agent run. Agents quote your policies verbatim, so outdated policies produce outdated drafts.
What agents do with the handbook
Marketer
Reads brand voice, banned words, platform rules, and what_we_sell before drafting any content.
Analyst
Uses business timezone for report periods; references what_we_sell in the recommended focus.
Support
Quotes your return policy verbatim in replies; checks always_escalate list before drafting.
Bookkeeper
Uses refund threshold for anomaly flagging; escalates discrepancies above your stated threshold.
Operator
References escalation rules when routing unassigned work.
